Kathmandu – Nepalgunj

Fly from
Kathmandu to Nepalgunj airport, our representative will
receive and transfer you to Hotel Batika, where you spend
the overnight. |
| Day 02 |
Fly
Nepalgunj
- Juphal – Dunai |
|
Transfer to
Nepalgunj airport for a 30 minutes flight to Juphal, where
our Trek Guide will receive you. After sorting out luggage
we start walking on the trail to Dunai. The trail is mostly
downhill and along the banks of Dho Khola to our campsite at
Dunai. |

– Rohagaon (2910 m.) |

The trail is
mostly flat up-to our lunch stop, following a small stream.
After lunch we enter a forest and the trail soon begins
climbing up the side of the tree less Thulo Bheri Valley.
The rocky trail crests a ridge and enters the Phoksundo
River valley, finally reaching another ridge marked by
cairns at 2500 metres. There is a view of Kagmara peak up
the valley. The trail descends gently and we come to a
dispersed winter settlement at Dhera. The trail from here to
our campsite is an uphill walk. Arrive at our campsite at
Rohagaon where tea and biscuits will be served. Overnight in
tents. |
| Day 04 |

The trail
passes through the lower part of Rohagaon and turns into
another side canyon and descends through deep dark forest to
a large stream. After some time to Phoksundo National Park
entrance at Ankhe is reached where the National Park permit
is checked. The trail passes through three small villages
having a strange mane connection "Parela" (Parela
means eyelash). After reaching the river at 2950 meters, the
trail becomes a collection of rocks and sticks that form a
dyke along the riverbank. We continue upstream to a bridge
and reach our campsite on the other side of the river. |

Day 05/06

Reji
– Phoksundo Lake(3600 m) |

The trail
continues its ups and downs along the valley floor to the
confluence of the Phoksundo and Pungmo Khola. Cross to the
western side of the Phoksundo Khola on a wooden bridge.
Follow the western bank of the river through forest to
another bridge and climbs up to our campsite. |

Follow the
banks of Phoksundo Lake, the first hour or so is an uphill
ascend and the trail descends from the crest of the hillock
to a stream and then is a gradual ascend to our campsite
below the Shey Pass. |

Follow a
stream for quite sometime and then it is an ascend to shey
pass at 5000 metres. descend to the dispersed village at
Shey Gomba, where, there is a Tibetan monastery for
overnight camping. |

The trail
for the first two hours is pretty flat and then we came to
the base of a pass. The ascend to the top of the pass is
quite difficult. Lunch is served en-route. Descend to the
winter settlement at Namgung, where camp will be set. |
| Day 11 |

– Saldang |

The trail
descends gradually all the way to our campsite at Saldang.
Saldang, the village by a river bank, has large Tibetan
village with a monastery. |
| Day 12 |
Saldand
– Sibu |

Follow a
river along a wide valley, with occasional ups and down to a
pasture at Subu, where our camp is set, for the overnight
stay. |
| Day 13 |

The trail
today till lunch ascends on the Namjung Pass. The land is
dry and arid like that of a Tibetan plateau. After Lunch the
trail descends to the Namjung Chu Khola, where camp is made. |
| Day 14 |

Chu khola – Jenjla (5080 m) |

Follow the
Namjung Khola for a major part of the trail until we reach
to the base of Janjela Pass. Lunch will be served en-route.
Asecnd on the hill to the crest and from here our camp is
set a little further. |
| Day 15 |
Jenjala
– Do Tarap (4040 m) |

The major
part of the trail today is flat with occasional descends to
our campsite at Do-Tarap. The trail passes through dispersed
settlements. |
| Day 16 |
Do
Tarap – Barbung Khola (4000 m) |
|
Follow
the Barbung Khola along the bank all the way to reach out
campsite. |
| Day 17 |
Barbung
Khola – Chharka (5035m) |

Today we
ascend almost a thousand meters to reach our campsite on the
Pass. We can have a magnificent view of the Kagmara and
Dhaulagiri ( if weather permitted). |

– Manthang Khola |

ups and downs following the Manthang Khola to reach
campsite. |
| Day 19 |

Khola – Thajang Khola |

ups and downs following the Thajing Khola to reach campsite. |

We cross a Pass today at 5123 meters
and descend to a river and then it is steep ascend to our
campsite at Sangda. |
| Day 21 |
Sangda
– Kagbeni (2740 m) |

The trail
keeps ascending to the top of the 5000 metres pass. It is a
long day today, hence our cook will prepare a packed lunch
for you in the morning and we reach the campsite at Kagbeni
only in the late afternoon. Kagbeni is a small pretty little
village with about 80 families inhabiting. Most of them are
traders who have over the past many years served as a link
in the supply chain of essentials between the rest of Nepal
and Mustang the land of LO. We cross a small hanging bridge
just out of Jomsom and then walk northwards along the banks
of the Kaligandaki. The trail is barren with rocks and sand
and is mostly flat making is very easy, enjouable as well as
picturesque Dhaulagiri (8167 m.) and Tukuche (6920 m.) in
the west, Nilgiri (6940 m.) and the entire Annapurna massif
to the south and south west. |
| Day 22 |
Kagbeni
– Jomsom |
| From
Kagbeni, walk further south along the Kaligandaki to reach
Jomsom for the night. |
| Day 23 |
Fly
Jomsom – Kathmandu via Pokhara |
| Fly
Jomsom / Pokhara by early morning flight to connect your
flight back to Kathmandu. |
