TREKKING IN NEPAL |
- Nepal, where Mt.
Everest (8848 m.) and including another 7
highest peaks situated is paradise for all the trek
lovers. Trekking is only one-way to see the
precisely nature of Nepal. Most of the visitors from
abroad had praised this Himalayan country a
trekkers' paradise. In fact the trekking is most
popular adventurous activity in this mountain
kingdom. There are numerous trails leading to
various destination of tourist interest.
- Most of the trails are still virgin in Nepal and some
very wild and on the horizon from human
civilization. The trekkers in Nepal are always
rewarded with many unique sights such as majestic
Himalayan peaks, colorful birds, lovely waterfalls,
and above all, the real peace and pleasure even
heavens would jealousy.

- Trekking
Permit is not essential for the General
Trekking areas such as; Annapurna Region, Everest
Region, Langtang Region and Rara area. Where as
there must be obtain the Conservation Park or
National Park entrance permits from the concerned
Govt. office in Kathmandu before commencing the
trek.

For your
kind information the trekking in Nepal (except some
special interest treks in the region where the
Tea-houses are not available such as: Kanchangha, Makalu,
Rolwaling, Manaslu, Upper Mustang, Upper Dolpo and Rara.)
can be organized in 2 different ways as described under: |

FULL-SET CAMPING TREK |
|
Full-set
camping trek arrangement means each night you will be
staying in tents; in this trekking arrangement there
will be leader trek guide, assistant trek guides, cook,
assistant cooks, spare and porters depending upon the
load to carry all trek equipment such as sleeping tents,
mattresses, kitchen/dining tent, toilet tent, kitchen
utensils, cooking fuel, food provisions etc as per size
of group., taken from Kathmandu. Because of all above,
full-set organized trek arrangements are quite expensive
smaller group. |

TEA-HOUSE TREK |
|
Tea-House
trek arrangement is not only economic but also
eco-friendly way of doing trekking is called Tea-House
trek (Lodge trek) arrangement which allows you to be
more in contact with local people as well as other
trekkers from different countries. In this arrangement
overnight halts with dinner and breakfast will be in
Tea-Houses (Lodges) and lunches in local restaurants
en-route. In trek crew there will be one leader trek
guide for each group up to 5 persons and porter/s
(according to the group size) to carry
your personal belongings. |

Trekking there should be obtained the Special
Trekking Permit as follows:
- # Upper
Mustang and Upper Dolpo: US$ 700 per person
for the first ten days and US$ 70 per person per day
thereafter.
- # Kanchenjunga:
Equivalent to US$ 10 per person per week for the first
four weeks and US$ 20 per person per week thereafter.
- # Manaslu:
US$ 90 per person per week for trekking during Sept-Nov
and US$ 75 per week during December -August.
