    IMPORTANT:   The Tibetan Tourism Bureau has made a new regulations effective from 1998 that a minimum of 5 participants are required for Tibet Tours. Hence, if less than 5 participants, scheduled to operate will have to join on GROUP JOINING BASIS or join the existing 8 Days Fixed Departure tour as under:

Tibet # 01:  8 Days FIXED DEPARTURE TIBET Package (Drive in - Fly out or v.v.) - Every Saturdays

Saturday  KATHMANDU - NYALAMU (3800 m ) - 165 km.

  Road from Kathmandu to Lhasa

Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Kodari (Friendship Bridge), Nepal - China border. After custom formalities drive uphill to Zhangmu than Nyalamu. Complete custom formalities. Overnight at Hotel Nyalamu.
Sunday NYALAMU - XEGAR (4350 m.) - 202 km.

Drive to Xegar crossing LALUNG LA PASS (5050m). This drive offers fantastic view of the high mountains including Mt. Everest (8848m.). Overnight at hotel Xegar.
Monday XEGAR - SIGATSE (3900 m.) - 244 km.

Drive (approx 8 hrs) to Sigatse. Sigatse has the famous Tashilumpo Monastery and the seat of Panchen Lama. Overnight at hotel Sigatse.
Tuesday SIGATSE - GYANTSE (3950 m.) - 90 km.

Tashilumpo Monastery 

In the morning visit Tashilumpo Monastery and the free market of Sigatse. In the afternoon drive to Gyantse and visit Phalkor Monastery and Khumbum Stupa. Overnight at hotel Gyantse.
Wednesday GYANTSE- LHASA (3650m)- 259 Kms.

The drive to Lhasa takes 8 hours, crossing two passes- THE KARO LA (5010m.) and KAMBA LA (4794m.) via Yamdrok Tso lake. Overnight in Lhasa.
Thursday In LHASA

Roof of Jokhang Temple

Sightseeing tour of Potala Palace, Norbulinka Palace and Jokhang Temple. Overnight at hotel.
Friday In LHASA

Sightseeing tour of Drepung Monsatery, Sera Monastery and Barkhor Bazaar. Overnight at hotel.
Saturday LHASA - KATHMANDU by Flight - One hour
Transfer to Gonggar airport for flight to Kathmandu.
Note: For your safety Oxygen is carried on the tour.
